AN ACTIVATION CAMPAIGN TO REDUCE LITTER FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE HAGUE

To help the municipality of The Hague with this issue we developed a campaign with the slogan ‘Schoon, doen we toch gewoon?’ (Clean, don’t we just do it?) plus a few content formats falling under this concept.

THE BRIEF

Most citizens of The Hague aren’t dealing with litter in a very conscious way. Several initiatives are already being organized to tackle the problem of litter. The question: develop a campaign to create awareness and greater involvement regarding waste issues. The ultimate goal: litter reduction in The Hague.

THE PROPOSAL

The campaign will receive structural city-wide visibility and local relevance. There are two formats within the campaign: “Afvalaanpakkers” and “Opgeruimd”. In this we show respectively what the municipality is doing about the problem and we take a look at residents’ homes. Underlying theme: “Together we keep the city clean.” For this we also developed the entire style of the campaign and formats. A style guide with guidelines has been developed as well.
